If you are a fan of flamboyant soft serve, then you probably have heard of the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. What started off as a single truck in NYC, serving up Salty Pimp’s (don’t ask, just order) is now an burgeoning empire- with two New York brick and mortars and another on the way. But what a lot of people don’t know is that Doug is a Julliard trained musician, and became friends with Jane Wiedlin from the Go Go’s by calling her a bitch (she later wrote their theme song). The guys also tell us about all the hate mail they get (spoiler: it has nothing to do with their being gay), plus the time they were shaken down by Elite Yelpers. They also give us an inside look at the seriously dangerous Mr. Softee Mafia (not even joking about this).
